Lawyer of Pontifica Universidad Católica and Master in Law of the University of Hamburg. He has experience in legal areas, mediation, strategic communication and sustainability.

He is currently President of the National Mining Program Alta Ley, a public-private initiative that promotes open innovation in mining, professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, independent director of Engie Chile and various foundations.

Previously he was Executive Director of National Television of Chile (TVN), Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications of BHP Billiton, division Metales Base; Vice President of Corporate and External Affairs of Minera Escondida, and the first CEO of the chilean Mining Council. He also worked as a lawyer in Germany (Schoen Nolte, Finkelnburg & Clemm) and in Chile (CSAV and Larrain y Asociados).

He has also served as director in other institutions, including Anatel, the Chilean Mining Council, El Telón start-up, Fundación Chile, Minera Escondida Foundation, RSE Action, Chilean-German Chamber and Anar Foundation (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk), chairman of CEIM (Industrial and Mining Training Center) and Kodea (diffusion and education in coding).
